Registration

Registration in advance of the program start date, Friday, January 18, 2008, is required for participation in the program. GCCC reserves the right to cancel courses and/or the program due to insufficient enrollment.

 Three Ways To Register

 1.  Initial Registration The first date of registration for the Spring 2008, Education Encore program is Friday, January 18. The Education Encore Initial Registration is between 9 a.m. and 11:00a.m. in the Student Union East Building Conference Room.  Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.  The registration line will form at the rear of the Conference Room.  Instructors will not be available at the initial registration.  Encore volunteers will be available to answer questions about courses and special events.

Register at the rear of the Conference Center (includes payment).  Prior to registering, participants should have completed registration forms indicating primary and alternate choice courses for each time period of the Education Encore curriculum.

As courses fill, Lifelong Learning staff will work with participants on the spot to secure suitable enrollment alternatives.

2.  Registration In Person After Sep. 7:

If unable to register on January 18, 2008, participants may register in person beginning Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, and thereafter until Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at the Registration Desk of the Office of Lifelong Learning on the second floor of the Student Union East Building, GCCC.

Lifelong Learning’s registration hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Friday.

As courses fill, Lifelong Learning Staff will assist participants on the spot to secure suitable enrollment alternatives.

3.  Mail-in and Fax Registration:

Mail-in and FAX registration options are offered merely as a convenience; they are not the best method of assuring one’s place in courses.

·        The first day that mailed-in and faxed registrations will be processed is Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008. At that time, all mailed-in and faxed registrations received prior to this date will be processed in a random order.

·        Registration by mail or fax will continue to be accepted and processed in random order by day until 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 24, 20087.

·        For mail-in registrations, payment (checks payable to GCCC or credit card billing and authorization signature information) must accompany the completed registration form.  The form and check or credit card information should be mailed to: GCCC, ATTN: Business Affairs, 5230 W. Highway 98, Panama City, FL 32401.  The Registration Booklet and Form may be obtained by calling (850) 872-3823.

·        For faxed registrations, credit card billing information and authorization signature must accompany the completed registration form and be faxed to 850-872-3836.

·        Courses with limited enrollment fill quickly; therefore, registrants are strongly urged to indicate alternate-choice course preferences. When primary and alternate choice courses are full, Lifelong Learning staff will use telephone, e-mail, and/or “regular” mail delivery to attempt to contact the registrant to discuss options. However, it is the responsibility of mail-in and faxed registrants to call the Office of Lifelong Learning to confirm receipt and processing of registration material (850-872-3823).

·        Participants’ schedules and student IDs will be available at the “Welcome Station” on the first day of class and each Friday morning of the program until picked up.

Payment:  Fees (checks payable to GCCC or credit card billing) must be paid at the time of registration; otherwise, registrants will be purged from courses.
